OET Workshop
August 14 10:10AM - 11:10AM
Location: Aspen/Cedar Rms 2nd Floor
Course Description:
Senior Evaluations By The Numbers.
The Senior Program is for the most part an unrewarded challenge. We have our people put in a great deal of extra time, travel, and expense to subject their patrolling skills to the scrutiny of others. All for the right to wear a patch on their uniform. However, this is not a waste of the aforementioned sacrifices. Those who attempt Seniors (pass or fail) will be better patrollers. What we as Supervisors, Advisors, Evaluators and Coaches need to reward them, is a proper closure to the final.
This breakout session will be a discussion on evaluating Senior Candidates using the CPI descriptions as set forth in the PNW Division Senior Candidate Guidebook. The focus will be OET with examples of what constitute an Equal (pass), Negative (fail), or Plus (outstanding) senior performance. Our goal is to provide Senior Evaluators and Coaches more detailed documentation of how each candidate was evaluated and how to share the results in a positive way.
Instructor:
Jack Ramsey (PNWD OET Supervisor)
Going into my third year as the PNW Division OET Supervisor I am looking forward to accomplishing the goals I set in my first year. Barring further complications due to whatever may happen next, my goal again this year, is to attend all Senior OET final evaluations in the Division. Covid-19 kept me from most of the Senior events in 2020 and 2021. Please help me out with this by staying healthy and doing all you can the limit the spread of this and any other challenge that presents itself.
