Patrol Director 101

Course Description: PD 101 is a must interactive seminar for all new PD/PL/PR's. Topics all vital to carrying out the role of PD/PL/PR. This session provides an opportunity to get oriented, ask questions, and discuss these and similar topics. Please send a representative if you are unable to attend.
Topics include:
Andy Bechdolt is entering his 20th season as a volunteer patroller. He is a senior, OET Instructor, OET IT, OEC Instructor, OEC IT. Andy spends his time patrolling at Willamette Pass in Oregon. He was selected as an assistant Hill Chief in his rookie year. He spent time in that role for 2 years. He was a Hill Chief for 4 years, Assistant Patrol Director for 4 years, Patrol Director for 4 years, Assistant Oregon Region Director for 4 years and is currently in his second term as the Oregon Region Director. In his day job, Andy is the Tactical Training Coordinator for the State Police Academy in Oregon. He coordinates, develops curriculum and teaches every police officer in Oregon in all of the high fidelity scenario based training, building searches and DUI. He is also a senior instructor in firearms and emergency vehicle operations. Andy is also an instructor in advanced courses such as leadership, instructor development courses and staff in service training.
Andy also runs a part time professional photography business and is a full time adventure seeker. In his spare time he kiteboards, backpacks, rides mountain and road bikes and of course skis.
