Course Description:
Join Denny as he shares good information to pass on to anyone considering putting an NSP Bike Patrol together. This session includes everything from registering with NSP, By-Laws, Benefits, ordering Jersey’s, bike signage and so forth. Plus learn about advantages of registering a separate Bike Patrol with NSP but with secondary ski patrollers.
Instructor: Denny Burt, PNWD Bike Patrol Advisor
BIO: Denny Burt joined the NSP as a patroller in 1996. He attained NSP Senior Classification in 2011. He received his NSP National Appointment #12080 in 2018. He is an OEC and OET instructor. Denny is the recipient of numerous Regional & Division Awards and two NSP Yellow Merit Stars. He served two terms as Ski Patrol Director at Lookout Pass Ski Area. Denny started Winter Swap Fundraiser supporting 3 patrols and chairs it currently. Denny started the Hiawatha Trail Bike Patrol with a handful of folks from Lookout Pass Ski Patrol. As director, he has 82 bike patrollers from 4 separate ski areas manning the trails. As the first Bike Patrol registered in the nation with NSP and also the first Bike Host unit, Denny Burt and the Hiawatha Trail Bike Patrol has figured out a lot of things in the last 5 years.
