Primary and Secondary Assessment of a Pediatric Trauma Patient
August 14, 10:15 AM- 3:30 PM
Location: River Forks Rm 3rd Floor
Course Description: How confident are you in assessing a child who has sustained a traumatic injury while skiing? While kids get injured everyday on the hill, rarely do we encounter severe trauma in a pediatric patient. This is your chance to participate in a hands on simulation session presented by a team from Air St Luke's Regional Medical Center's Maternal/Child Transport Team out of Boise, Idaho. The team will guide you through scene safety, SAMPLE, and both primary and secondary assessments that lead to successfully handing care over to a higher medical authority. Session space limited to 6-8 participants. Limited to 1 session/per person. People may observe.
